PINZ Story

Locally owned and operated, PINZ has deep roots in the Los Angeles community and is the preferred entertainment destination among today’s hottest Hollywood celebrities, Angelenos and out-of-towners alike.

Founded by actor Joe Kirkwood, who starred in the “Joe Palooka” movies and series, PINZ has been a part of the Los Angeles celebrity scene since it first opened in 1958. After a long run as Kirkwood Lanes, which was frequented by the likes of James Dean and Joan Crawford, it became PINZ in 2003 and, today, plays host to stars like Nick Cannon, Selena Gomez and Slash, to name just a few, in search of some relaxed bowling time. PINZ sees more stars per lane than any other bowling center on the planet!

Everyone is an A-lister at PINZ, which caters to the needs and desires of the entire Los Angeles community. Whether clients are in the mood to bowl, play classic pinball or video arcade games, play billiards or simply relax with friends and family over fine food and drink, PINZ has fun in store for everyone. It’s no wonder that PINZ was voted one of Travel + Leisure magazine’s “Coolest Bowling Alleys in America” (link to article).

PINZ is dedicated to providing the best customer experience possible while creating positive, lasting memories for every single guest. It’s the best alley in the Valley (and beyond)!
